2. Purpose
These terms apply to any stay booking at the lodge, whichever channel is used: the website booking engine, email or telephone. They take precedence over any other document, unless the establishment agrees otherwise in writing.
3. Booking
The stay is booked for two nights minimum. Rooms accommodate two people, on mandatory half board.
The booking is confirmed upon receipt of the confirmation sent by email. Until then, no room is guaranteed.
The guest is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided, in particular their name, stay dates and email address. A minor must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the entire stay.
4. Rates
Prices are shown in CFP francs (XPF), all taxes included, including value added tax (VAT). They vary by season; the applicable price is the one displayed at the time of booking.
The visitor tax is not included: 200 XPF per person per night from age twelve, 2026 rate. It is payable on site, at departure.
The following are not included in the price: drinks, lunch, transfers and all services provided by third parties.
5. Payment
No amount is charged at the time of booking. A bank card hold is securely recorded by the booking engine.
The total amount of the stay is automatically charged on the cancellation deadline set out in Section 6. If the payment fails, the establishment informs the guest, who has forty-eight hours to settle it; failing that, the booking is cancelled.
6. Cancellation and Changes
Cancellation is free of charge:
- up to fifteen days before the arrival date in low season, from November to March excluding the year-end holidays;
- up to thirty days before the arrival date in high and peak season, from April to October and over the year-end holidays.
After this deadline, the full stay is charged and is non-refundable, including in the event of early departure or no-show.
Dates may be changed free of charge before the cancellation deadline, subject to availability and the rate for the new period.
If the establishment has to cancel a booking, due to force majeure or for a reason attributable to it, all sums paid will be refunded in full, with no further compensation.
Travel cancellation insurance is strongly recommended, particularly for long-haul travel.
7. Arrival and Departure
Rooms are available from 2 p.m. on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11 a.m. on the day of departure.
The lodge is about thirty-five minutes' drive from Vaiare wharf. Please let us know in advance if you will arrive after 8 p.m., so that the reception team can be prepared.
8. Half Board
Half board is mandatory and includes breakfast and dinner.
Breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.: continental menu served at the table, seasonal fruit, pastries and a hot egg dish.
Dinner from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., by reservation the day before: starter, main course, dessert, Polynesian and French cuisine. Drinks are not included.
The restaurant is closed at midday; a packed lunch can be ordered the day before, for an additional charge. The restaurant and bar are reserved for hotel guests.
Special diets and allergies must be reported at the time of booking. A meal not taken is neither refunded nor deducted.
9. House Rules
The lodge is entirely smoke-free, rooms and common areas alike. Pets are not allowed.
The pool is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., unsupervised. Children remain under the constant responsibility of their parents.
Any damage found in the room or common areas will be charged to the guest at replacement value.
10. Liability
The establishment is not liable for valuables left in the room. A safe is provided in each room.
Excursions, diving and other outdoor activities presented on this website are neither sold nor organised by Kanoa Lodge, which receives no commission. The contract is formed directly between the guest and the operator, who alone is responsible for the conduct and safety of their service. Published prices and timetables are given for information only.
The establishment's liability cannot be engaged in the event of force majeure, including bad weather, interruption of sea or air links, or administrative decision.
11. Personal Data
Data provided when booking is used to process the request, prepare the stay and meet accounting obligations. Its processing is described in our Privacy Policy. The use of cookies is described in our Cookie Policy.
12. Complaints and Governing Law
Any complaint must be sent by email to contact@kanoalodgemoorea.com, or by post to the registered office address. The establishment replies within one month.
